 Madeleine's Story
My name is Madeleine Verdon and I am the President of PROMESS USA. Before I started the PROMESS line of skin care creams, beauty and nutritional products, I loved gardening. I still love gardening but some years ago I was poisoned by pesticides intended to protect my roses. This changed my life forever. My immune system was weakened and I became hyper-reactive to most chemicals that many people take for granted. I could no longer do many of the things I loved. I was forced to forgo oil painting. I could not tolerate reading the newspaper or magazine due to the ink. City driving sickened me and it was not just because of the traffic. My skin used to redden and swell, and I would breakout in hives. The fumes, poisons and toxins in paint, ink, plastics and exhaust fumes were overwhelming and only served to weakened me more.
Since environmental medicine was in its infancy and the traditional medicinal approach resulted in intolerable side effects, a different avenue had to be pursued to improve my condition. Luckily, my son, who was finishing his Ph.D. in nutritional biochemistry at Tufts University in Boston, vowed to help me. He was doing his doctoral thesis on vitamin E and knew from his work and the research of others that vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) has tremendous potential to naturally boost the immune system and protect the body against harmful toxins. He also knew about the new research on the beneficial effects of vitamin E on the skin. Using his knowledge, we formulated a skin care cream using only the highest potency NATURAL vitamin E available. We also developed a line of nutritional products to go with our skin care line.
From what was initially a very unfortunate experience, there has come the creation of a superior line of skin care products and nutritional supplements, made available to you as under the name of PROMESS. And ever since 1984, that's been my promise!
